Why are hotels so expensive in mid April?  I thought Vegas is dead and looking for tourist?

Not with a record number of teams entered in Nationals.

Hotel prices are at a historic low because of the downturn.  The tourney
won't make up for the cancellations that have happened.  Remember, this
is Las Vegas.

Ever heard of Spring/Easter break? I am going Memorial Day weekend, but still managed to get the Flamingo for 6 nights at $31 per night.

Call up The Vegas Club.  It's a sports-themed casino on the Fremonte Street Experience.  Nothing special, that's for sure, but I always got dirt cheap rates and lots of free food.

My wife and team are debating between the Sahara ($26/night) and Excalibur ($41/night) for Sun 4-26 thru Thurs 4-30.  We may pay the extra 5 or 10 bucks per night for a room with a strip view, though.

Patience, people, there is a long time for the specials to be announced.

Fitz is ok but friendly staff and loose slots make up for the room.  And just how much do you do in your room but sleep and play reach around.
