free services at nationals
« on: July 02, 2008, 01:04:07 AM »
This will be my first time at nationals. I was wondering do they have any free ball services such as cleaning, dulling, polishing, etc....?

Nope!! But most of the shops will do it for a small fee.

Also new this year, at least this is the first year I saw it, there is a machine next to the Storm booth that will do these services for as well. Worked pretty well for polishing and sanding.....didn't do too much in cleaning aspect. It was running like $5 for surface changes, and it would do 500, 1000, 2000 Abralon, or 2000, 4000 Abralon polished.

None of the National championships I've been at have offered free ball maintenance /service.

But your question does make me wonder how many tournaments have you been to where there was free ball service?  I've not been to any, so I'm curious, you must have run into these free services in the past to even think that they might exist.  So where were these tournaments with free ball services?
