Visited the convention center yesterday to take a photo for our association newsletter.  The lanes aren't finished yet.  I'll be bowling in a session the second week in February where they'll be testing different patterns, so it likely won't be released until a couple of days before the opening.

They usually finalize the oil pattern a week or so before the opening of the tournament.

Should be released Feb 10-18, somewhere around then. Expect a USBC Open Lane Pattern Preview in the March issue of BJI...

Is there anywhere to find past patterns used at the open, other then just last years?  Thanks

Since I am going with a new group, we are scheduled for Feb. 17 & 18 - second & third day of the tourney. Any help would be appreciated.

Normally they dont post until 2 days before the start.  They have to finish the lanes then start playing with the pattern to get it to where they want.  I dont see them done until later this week with the construction of the lanes for use.
