So I got to practice on it yesterday and was surprised to find out that it actually has less oil than our house shot. Keep in mind that I bowl on wood lanes with guardian heads and they lay down quite a bit of oil to combat the high friction surface.

So my question is this, in order to get a similar reaction on these lanes as compared to the lanes at the stadium, what pattern should I be practicing on?

Would something like the U.S. Open pattern be a better option or is there another pattern that is going to make these high friction lanes act like the lanes at the national bowling stadium?

There is no real way to make Guardian lanes play like synthetics but when I lay the shot out I add two extra 2-2 loads and an extra foot to the pattern.

US Open pattern is always good to practice on IMO....

I have been practicing on US OPEN pattern since we do not have the drop brush feature. That and been just shooting at a lot of spares with plastic ball. We have AMF 82-70s so I can use shadow ball feature, makes it nice to practice all the single pin spares
