usbc tournament comparison
« on: April 20, 2008, 04:53:48 AM »
The womens event is nothing like the mens, went up to it yesterday to see what vendors were there. a tshirt booth and a jewlery booth. thats it. Even more surprising was the bowlers competing, the overwhelming majority were elderly. throwing straight balls and backup balls. why they put a sport shot out for them is beyond me. many shots looked to have no ball rotation.just skid. looks like the ladies  are in trouble unless they bring some youth into the mix.

Many of the better women bowlers schedule their participation to coincide with the USBC Queens and Sr Queens Tournaments.  They will be running 4/26 - 4/30.  By scheduling their team and s/d around the time of the Queens saves on travel expenses.  So look for the big name and higher average ladies to be coming soon.
