The process of verifying the accuracy of results and participant eligibility of the event, as well as optional side events associated with the tournament, is now complete. Prize checks for the USBC Open Championships are being printed this week. More than 42,000 checks must be printed; therefore the printing process will take a few days. Prize checks will be mailed next week.

Bowlers should be aware that a change in the standings of the USBC Open or Women’s Championships can affect thousands of checks. An extension under USBC Rule 309 is not unusual, similar extensions are granted dozens of times a year for tournaments demonstrating a need to verify the accuracy of results and eligibility. USBC appreciates tournament bowlers’ patience during the brief delay that helped ensure proper verification.
