NIGHTLIFE IN CORPUS CHRISTI

Going in June and would like to know where the hangouts are.  Any good clubs, is there one in the Omni?  Time away from the kids so I would love to have a good time.

Head downtown and find a place called Porky's.  Very clean, very fun.  Think Coyote Ugly.  Typically I'm not fond of the places with all hot girl bartenders because they tend to get hired based on the fact they are hot, not because they are good.  Well these girls are hot AND good.  Didn't get jumping till around 11 or so.  Stay away from Q's.  It has free pool, but that's about all.  

I heard good things about the bar at the Omni, but we didn't stay there so we didn't check it out.  

Also, keep in mind Texas closes at 2am.  There might be some waffle houses or something like that open, but when they do last call, they mean last call and there is nothing in the way of after hours hang outs.

We spent some time down at the "Strike Zone" in the Omni.
It was all right nothing to brag about really.
The bar we spent the most time at was "Lou's" out by our hotel.
This place was basically a hole in the wall.
Had free shuffle board and peanuts.
To go with relatively cheap drink prices.
I wouldn't recommend walking back to your hotel if your at "Lou's" gets pretty dark with no street lights at all.
