Ouch! those are some harsh words bullred. Coop, crux prime @2000, idol@2000. Pba60@ 4000 and Spare ball. If you have room for 5, hyroad nano. I like smooth surfaces, no polish. Bring a fresh 1000 grit abralon pad in case you need more surface.

Sometimes the truth is hard to accept.  Spent years drilling for guys who were looking for a miracle in a ball.  Most did not want to accept they were deficient in the skills necessary to be a winner.  Most of you guys are doomed to be the pro shop's wet dream.

Yes, the truth can be difficult.....

Unfortunately, there are too many old time drillers who still live their glory days of the past. They live in a fantasy world of Rubber and Urethane, and never understood why even with great bowler skill, reactive resin changed all the rules. You can see the bitterness of not understanding why time has passed them by.

Try taking just one ball to Nationals or any PBA event and show how you'll dominate with nothing more than your superior skill set. I'd buy a ticket to watch that disaster.

Bah all you need is a OG LT-48 the older gentleman yelled at the clouds.
Here today.  Gone tomorrow.

My pending lineup:

Jackal Rising
Jackal Ghost
Forge
Forza GT
Octane Carbon

Trying to get possibly a Hydra or Combat Tank in place of the Carbon since team event is probably 38-39ft. and last year the lanes transitioned to where my Carbon was just too strong in the friction.

My current lineup with surfaces:

Crux Prime (1000 or 500...still deciding)
Physix at 1000
Phaze 2 at 1000
IQ Tour Solid at 2000
Pitch Black at whatever is currently on it

If you read my earlier thread, I am not expecting much organized lane breakdown hence the stronger surfaces.  My Pitch Black is for corner pin spares, e.g. 6 & 10's, and a last ditch effort if I am completely lost...a very likely scenario.

This game has become to dependent on equipment.  You could have the best game in the world but you can never outbowl bad ball reaction.

For nationals, take 3 balls you trust, plus a spare ball if you need one and bring various abralon pads and polishes.  You will not be hooking the ball coast to coast and the name of the game will be controlling the midlane.  Bring a big solid, a medium solid and a pearl you can work the surface on.  Assym vs sym cores .... who cares.  You are going to play defense quite a bit until the shot opens up.  If you are bowling with a bunch of recreational house bowlers  who refuse to play the shot as it is intended, it could be a long day.

One could argue that to have the best game in the world you must know how to prevent bad ball reaction.  Whether that is changes in physical release, knowing which zone to play, or know which ball to throw.

There are numerous bowlers with great physical games, but until they gain experience on multiple patterns (or at least the national's pattern) they will be guessing on what to do.  They may get lucky but the more experience the better chance at a good result.

Phaze II @ 1000 or 2000
IQ Tour Solid @ 2000
Idol Pearl @ 4000
Plastic

And then I have a decision to make between the Hyper Cell Fused at @ 2000 for an Asym look OR an OG HyRoad @ 4000..........

That's a super hard decision for me.....
