The biggest change here to me is the reduction of bowlers on a pair from 6 to 4.

Your whole team will not be on the pair with you and with the reduced lineage the lanes will not break down as fast. However you and your partner can control how the lane breaks down.

Another issue could be if you are the odd doubles out you will be bowling with another group who might not work with you.

Assuming the don't use less oil it will be interesting to see what this will do to scoring.

They will also have to stay on top of the bowlers to keep up the pace and get the squad done. Some will slow down with the quick pace of only 4 bowlers on a pair.

I take multiple teams, so it's all good from my point of view.

Although "I pity da fool" who has the 7:00 AM or 11:45 PM squad.  ;D

The pace will be very quick for the older bowlers.  I'm sure my father won't bowl singles after bowling doubles without sitting down.  Good or bad??  Neither, it is what it is and you either bowl or don't IMO.
