Minor Events

For anyone that has bowled already. What were your general impressions of the pattern and how it broke down. What type of equipment and surfaces did you use. I've been watching scores and it doesn't seem like scores in the minor events have been terribly high so far. Also appears that bowlers are having an easier time with the team pattern. Just wondering the causes.

I believe the biggest difference in the scoring between the minors and team is simply the amount of time that teams have to break the lanes down in practice, assuming they work together.

In the minors with limited practice time and the number of bowlers they simply don't have enough time to put a burn spot on the lanes.

Being a shorter pattern minors do offer a little more hook. But you need a ball with some surface to read the mid-lane.

The minors pattern is a lot shorter and flatter than the team pattern.
Team is similar to 2011 pattern and minors is similar to 2012 pattern ... just compare scoring levels between 2011 and 2012.
