Attire at Nationals
« on: October 22, 2005, 01:48:54 AM »
I've been invited to bowl at USBC Nationals in Corpus Christi and I would like to know if anyone could give me the Rules for Dress Code?  Are "dress" Jeans allowed?

Here is the rule from the tournament site:

All participants must wear a shirt with a BUTTERFLY-type or "mock" collar (please see Team Uniform rule) and casual slacks, trousers or jeans (neat, clean and in good condition).

"Team Uniform" rule: Shirts with "mock" collars are allowed (as part of a five-person team uniform or two-person doubles team uniform) only under the following circumstances:
All five team members must have the same color "mock" collar shirt. Both doubles partners must have the same "mock" color shirt.
All "mock" collared shirts must contain a sponsor logo/message.
When wearing "mock" collared shirts, ALL bowlers must be wearing slacks (no jeans allowed).
The following list is NOT PERMITTED while competing: hats, sweats, shorts, skirts, skorts, culottes, zubas (pants with elastic cuffs).

Bowlers will be asked to change their attire if deemed inappropriate by tournament management or designee. Tournament management or designee decision shall be final.

Just recieved answer from usbc. Dress jeans are ok as long as they are neat and clean with no tears. Thanks for the answers.

redbear,
It looks like a t-shirt, only a bit nicer.  Some of the tour players have started wearing them, so if you have watched the show in the past season, you may have seen them.  The ones the tour players wear have sponsor's logos on them.

"mock" collar shirts are only allowed if your ENTIRE team is wearing them.  If it was a team uniform last year, they allowed it.  If not, they made you go to one of the booths and buy a new shirt.
