What's been scoring?

All I've been able to find out is Storm balls seem to be working well, with high scores being shot with the Special Agent, Shift and Thrunderstruck Solid. What else is doing well?

Yeah that was great shooting for Chip... 800 is a good anytime let alone at the ABC's .... You say he was using a Shift?  Do you know if he used any surface and or a strong drilling ?

One of the guys I went with used a polished up Fury for all 9 games and is currently in the top 10 for singles.

seems to me if you have a quality game and are versatile, any of today's high performance balls will work.  it's like i always say to people who ask about equipment, tiger woods could take your clubs and shoot 65

we layed out a shift for a buddy of mine and hit it with 2000 abralon. he rolled it pretty much all 9 games. he changed to a domination for a few frames, but went right back to the shift. him and his partner are currently in the top 20 for doubles and he is in the top 20 in all-events.

Just looking for some commonality between balls on that condition. Seems that strong, arcing balls with decent midlane are the ones that give you the best chance to shoot well. But keep the info coming, more data is a good thing!

ok, so which companies do not have balls in their lineup that strongly arc with good midlane?  or cannot be drilled to do that.  what i am saying is, all of the ball manufacturers are trying to create equipement for the widest range of conditions and styles as possible.  what would they gain by catering too only one condition or style?

Customers.  There is no non-condition-specific ball. Every manufacturer out there has balls that work best in the oil, some for medium conditions, and some for dryer shots. Some that rev up early, or late. You have to match the ball to the condition. Coverstock, core, and surface, at least.
Of course, if you only bowl THS, than all balls can seem to work alike.

I saw a guy almost hit a 300 with a hole pounder solid from Banger.

I think it is more about speed and accuracy then what ball you are using.

I used a strong roll drilled Vapor Zone to go 698/652 in doubles and singles. For me, I needed the ball to pick up a roll earlier than usual, which tended to give me more consistent reaction and some mistake room over my next strongest ball, my Total NV. Had to square up and go up 10 in singles, as they were much tighter than the pair I was on in doubles. I imagine the fresh for team would be similar to what I had for singles from observing ball reactions in team.
