Lane assignments
« on: June 20, 2010, 09:11:28 AM »
How are lane assignments determined?? Computer I would guess. We have now bowled singles and doubles on the end pair on the high end of the center for three consecutive years. What are the odds? We are not a classified team. I highly doubt the "big name" teams get this kind of treatment.

Yet, one of the years I bowled, the Storm and another big name team got the 2 end pairs: 45/46 and 47/48. I was on 43/44 and I never had so many boards that would get me to the pocket. Normally, (this was about 8 years ago) you''d have one board left and one board right on this sport pattern. I was playing a brakpoint about 9 board. Yet I leaked one out to the 5 board and the ball came screaming back. I pulled one into 12 and it sat there and struck. This was a house wall pattern. I knew I lucked out and the four (star) teams to the right of me proceeded to put up record numbers.

Sometimes the end pair is lucky. Sometimes it gets crap. You toss the dice and you take your chances.
