Solaris Blackout For Nats

Thinking of drilling one of these up for Nats. I am a slower speed bowler with a speed of 14.5-15.5, rev rate around 280 and I'm more up the back with the release. Any thoughts as to how this ball would work on the pattern. Thanks in advance. Trying to keep things in front of me instead of side to side.

I actually used my BlackOut when the shot burnt up the other night on the Nationals Pattern and it worked wonders. The shot plays farther right and straighter and than in years past even when the break down occurs you will need to stay as right as possible.

 

I have my BlackOut drilled 35x6x35 and it very smooth off the spot but it will hook plenty when the lanes dry out, It will get down the lane easy also this is not a ball you have to worry about reading to early on the lane.

 

 I imagine a stronger layout than the one above and some surface and the BlackOut would be a great choice for your speed and revs. Give the BlackOut a shot and you won't be disappointed

Mainzer, thanks for the feedback.

 

My initial thought was to drill it pin under my ring with a stacked layout. I have an outburst with this layout and love the reaction I get from it. I was able to throw it on the pattern with a very good look, but was into 17-18 on the fresh. Looking to get outside of 10 and go straighter with length and control.

I can't speak to the Nationals pattern, but this is a great ball for playing up the outside -- especially when the pattern breaks down.  I like to think of the Blackout as urethane on steroids: all the control, smoothness, and predictability of urethane with the carry of a reactive ball.
 
Like you, I am a slower speed bowler with low revs.   For guys like us, this ball is a secret weapon.  When all the crankers are standing in front of the gutter we can move right and have a line all to ourselves.
 
I put a weak drill on mine (9 o'clock) and put it at 1000 grit paper plus polish.
