Joined the test staff a few months ago, however bowling for me lately has been difficult due to work so haven't gotten to use all the balls I purchased enough to give a proper review.
I drill all my balls 80x5x60 and let the core and coverstock dictate the rest.
Have used the AMB Particle on three different occasions for about 20 games, may or may not be enough for valid feedback but here goes.
The AMB Particle is exactly as described a ball for heavy oil. Not a big moving ball downlane but it will get down the lane and continue thru the pins/pin deck no matter how much oil is out (heavy oil)
This is the first ball that actually worked in oil, the others seemed to make it to the pocket but didn't do anything once there.
For the 3 different patterns (2) from Kegel Highway to Hell and Deadman's Curve and a flat 45ft pattern (cut for this was -120 6-game block for half the field of 60)
The ball really shines playing a tight inside line to the pocket, doesn't die on route to the 1-3 nor does it deflect since it will make it thru all three phases of ball motion unlike the other heavy oilers I have tried in the past.
Carry for this ball is very good, I'm now labeled as to bowling with a cheater ball since everything others were pitching went straight and deflected quite a bit.
I know this is a old ball and not really available (in 15lbs anyways) but I did purchase it and have no regrets. May have to get another just in case something happens to this one.
