The Orange Pearl "Graphite" Warlock is a very strong reactive with a triple-density core designed to go long and finish hard.
By combining dynamic technology along with new materials in both the core and the shell, this ball is engineered to produce a very repeatable ball path with an aggressive but controllable finish, capped off by a "pocket pounding" hit with reduced deflection. This ball isn't just for the power players. With appropriate drillings, anyone can take advantage of this new technological breakthrough from Visionary Bowling Products. Specs are: Finish: Polished (1500)
Hardness: 75-78
RG: Medium - Low
Flare: Medium - High
Length (1-10): 8
Back End (1-10): 8+
Hook (1-20): 8(oil)-18(dry)
Avail. Weights: 13-16#

When I bought the Warlock I also bought the Executioner, the Green Gargoyle and the Scorcher. I planned to use the balls according to varying lane conditions. The Warlock was drilled so it would be ideal for dry conditions and that is when I use this ball. The way I have it drilled it is a great ball anywhere from dry to medium oil. I have found it hooks to much in extremely dry conditions but is a great ball from dry to medium oil. It like all the Visionary balls I have tried has great carry down. The only thing I have noticed is that I tend to leave more 8 and 9 pins then I do with the other Visionary balls. This is a good ball but I do prefer the Executioner except in dry conditions.

Very nice go long ball with just a small snap.Dry to oily lanes.Fast or slow ball speed, polished or not. This is just a great all around ball.dont know pin placement, drill pattern. If you throw visionary and dont have this you are really missing out.

I havent thrown this ball but was watching a man that threw 808 with a 299 game. It looks as thow it rolls early and hits hard. I have had my share of visionary balls, this one rolls similar to the purple warlock.

This is the oldest ball in my arsenal. It has been the best drier lane ball that I have had. I have it drilled 45 degree leverage weight to go long and snap on the back end. The ball still does not overreact, very predictable. Highest scores with this ball for me have been (280,275,232)for a single series.

This ball did great for me at Junior Olympic GOld in getting to the pocket. I suggest for drier to medium lanes. I have mine drilled with the pin about a half inch above the fingers and the cg about a inch below the middle of my fingers. Ball just goes long and hooks a little bit, but hits pretty hard.

Ball specs:
15 lbs
pin 2-3
top 2-3
Bowler Specs: in profile
I drilled this ball with the rico drill pattern... I did it because i wanted a ball with a totally different roll on a ths...... This ball with the rico drill is the defination of Smooth.... on the house shot this ball allows me to go up the boards and not have to hook the ball a lot..... the ball keeps the pins low and continues thru the pindeck......
the only downfall with the orange warlock is that if the heads are fried this ball will check up early but i think thats because of the rico drilling
out of a 1- 10 scale this ball is a solid 8

Specs: 14 lb 3oz
1" pin 2.5 Top
Drilled in pin directly below bridge, cg in center of grip
I was looking for a ball that when the oil was fruity that i could play up the twig and go around the oil, or when everything dries out something i could swing and not jerk off the dry. this ball dead on hit the bill
Amazingly smooth, rolls pretty early for a pearl, but really mild backend. great for up the boards. when the backends are flying to much for my gold nugget i can jump ten boards left with my move my target one board right (ima lefty) and just wail on the pins.
My only complaint, on flush or slightly high hits, almost guaranteed to leave a ringing 7. as long as i hit kind of light, 10 pin party in the pit all day long .

I have two. One is drilled weak and the other hooks out the house if there is no oil on the lanes.I love the way both balls reacts on a THS. I use one as the league starts and switched as the lanes break down.Great hitting power!!!I have had a number of guys try to buy the weaker one because in the third game I am killing them. As their new toys are over hooking, standing in my usual place and hitting my usual target, absolutely in my comfort zone. This is a great ball. I do not use them on sport shots as they are to spotty on long oil.

I got this ball after it was discontinued, because I wanted an older less aggressive ball. With the pin above the ring finger, and the cg below the ring finger this ball needs oil. It goes long and turns hard, a little earlier than my Ogre SS. On a ths, I play inside and try to hit the end of the pattern at the 10 board. This gets a strong move to the pocket with messengers al over the place. Great ball, get one if you can find one.

LANE CONDITION
Length:39ft
Volume:low
Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):THS
COMMENTS
Likes: Easy length with a strong backend motion
Dislikes: Too strong for truly dry lanes (3 3/8" layout doesn't help)
Since I was in need of a weaker ball to combat the dry conditions at my local house, and I had great experience with Visionary bowling balls, I decided to buy this used ball which was a 1st drill in awesome condition. Unfortunately, the pro shop guy didn't really ask me what kind of reaction I was looking for, and so it ended up drilled max leverage (3 3/8" pin to PAP). With this layout, the ball hooks way more than I thought it would, and doesn't seem to be phased by carrydown. It's too much of a monster for truly dry lanes, but it does work well on lower to medium volumes and will allow a fairly direct line as long as there's enough oil in the heads. Very impressive for a nearly 20 year old ball that was originally intended for dry lanes back in the day when oil volumes were much lower.
