The frankie may and G-3 comparison video is up and running...

Enjoy! And as always comments and criticisim are welcome...

My Comments:
These two balls are great, and complement each other very well...there are a bunch of g-3's around locally and i can see why with its quick response to friction...same with seeing alot of frankie mays...the cover on this thing is VERY tunable but has been left OOB for the video

Could you tell me how you have your Frankie drilled? I cant see the video since I am on dial-up and it takes forever. We both have similar pap's as mine is 4 3/4 up 1/4 but my Frankie drilled 3.5 x 3.5 doesn't hook as much as I thought. Used on the Shark and it just didnt finish.

Thanks

Not yet. Its still out of box. I asked another board member his opinion and will ask yours. Put a hole in it? Or change the surface? Even on the Shark oil the ball just didnt seem to roll or have any movement.

IMO...surface change always first.  Surface adjustments will make the biggest difference in reaction plus they can be changed back so easy.

As usual, great video. While I don't have a G3, I do have the FMG and mine reacts exactly the same as yours. I am not sure if I'll get a G3 because it looks to react exactly like my Black Widow Pearl.

I agree, i will always try surface adjustments first before i put more holes in a ball...

The frankie may may not be the BEST choice for shark depending on the surface you are bowling on...Visionary is right in saying that this ball is great on everything but the extremes...and some of the shark patterns i have seen are extreme...but it could still work!

Rock,

Having thrown both the G-3 and Black widow pearl, i feel the black widow pearl is MUCH more sensitive to friction than the G-3...which can be good or bad depending on the shot you are on...

i see the black widow pearl being stronger by a few boards, and all in the backend...

Urban, I tried a AMB Part on the Scorpion, at box, drilled 3 3/8 x 3 for extreme oil and after 5 balls I put it away, way too much ball. On the 5th ball I was sliding 44, 4 boards into the gutter launching the ball over the 4th arrow looking at the 6 pin, the ball still cut the headpin off the three pin, the previous 4 balls were all way left of the headpin.

As Jason told me prior to purchasing the ball, he doubted if i could find enough oil to use it unless I played outside in a mud puddle, he was not joking, took it to 2000 abralon and played with it in warm up on the Viper, same conclusion way too much ball, I did this to prove a point to a local bowler who didn't think I was shooting him straight.

On the Viper I used a box Ogre Solid, 232,236,208
I ended up using the Ogre Solid again on the Scorpion as well, seems to be a very versitile ball, as in bench 1st out of bag.
