Saw a couple guys throwing the SS last week and was quite surprised how tame this ball seems.One was using his for the 10 pin.Lane coditions were on the dryish side, but neither were moving much.

After throwing mine for the past week and a half, I'd say that it's not a tame ball, but it's not super strong either.

Here's the thing, the SS will NOT react if it sees the slightest hint of oil. This ball NEEDS dry boards to react. I've used mine on fresh lanes and lanes with carry down and am only really able to get the consistent skid/snap reaction on fresh lanes. If this ball sees carry down, it will squirt and end up not reacting much if at all.

This ball is made for lighter lane conditions where there is a dry area to use. So, yes, it might be a stronger piece for lighter conditions, but on anything more, you won't get much out of it. Of course, this depends on your speed and revs. I am about 16 mph and 350 revs (minimum) and this ball really only shines on fresh shots.

Also, as an fyi, I have mine drilled stacked leverage so it's drilled pretty strong.
