layout for AMB Immortal Solid
« on: December 10, 2008, 09:38:03 AM »
I gave up on my Immortal Solid but have decided to give it another chance.
Not even sure if the problem is the layout but I am going to plug it and redrill it with a new layout.
current layout.
5 inch pin to pap.. pin slightly right of and 1 inch above ring finger( I would say 20-30 deg to VAL).
70 deg mb right next to thumbhole

I'm thinking the VAL angle is too small and the MB drill angle is too big.

Any recommendations.

stats.
PAP 5 1/2 and 3/8 up
speed 16-17 mph
RPM- 350 - 475
like to play 3rd arrow out to 10,9,8.
like to stay in the oil and not use wall on THS
375 RPM, 17-18 MPH, 45+ DEG AXIS ROTATION, 17 DEG TILT

5 1/2 Pin to PAP

This should fall above your bridge

80 Drill Angle
60 Val Angle

so you think i should have the MB drill angle larger?
putting the pin 5.5 inches from my pap and above the bridge would put the VAL angle at 45 deg..
Also, an 80 deg MB drill angle would put the virtual mass bias in the thumb hole.
