Told me the same, that the pics of the Pearl do not do it justice.
I did find out that the 2 new balls will not have the light particle load.

Still looking at getting one of these but man, I've never seen a place do such a bad job. Website in perpetual "soon to be released" mode, balls can only be found one place... Too painful.

I sent emails to both Bowlerscellar and Visionary. I'm looking for a pearl symmetrical but like Lefty50 said, they make it very difficult. If I don't hear anything by Monday I'll just pick something from another manufacturer.

I do apologize for the website, and know that the website is very outdated. We anticipated having the new one active about 6 months ago, but unfortunately after having it about half finished, we had to start over from scratch, and it has just taken longer than we had expected. I plan to have the new site go live within the next week or two. I am hoping to have it completely functional, by next Friday.

As it happens life gets in the way. Todd was called into work sunday and we missed our window to get the vid done. will try to do it this week, but very well could go into next saturday.
Mine is drilled 60 * 4 1/2 * 40
Todd's is 50 * 3 1/2 * 50

I have been killing it with my original Raven in the first 2 weeks of leagues. Rounding out my bag is the Samurai, Warlock XV, and a Glad Pearl. I'm sure I'll pick up both new Ravens, as I love it when I beat my opponent who's throwing the latest and greatest from one of the "bigger" companys! :)
My question is this- how do you think the Invasion is going to compare to the Samurai? I have been having good success with the Samurai also this season and really don't want to shelve it. Also can't take 5 strike balls to leagues... Damn it Jason, it's hard enough when you release ONE good ball... Now you're about to drop a 3rd Raven!!!

Taking the invasion tonight on the 5 man league. Gonna be tough to beat last weeks series with the Raven. 279 259 276 - 814 My personal best ever.
My guess is it will hook more than the Samurai.
With no particle added it should be a good bit later than the Raven.
I am looking forward to the Attack. great color combo and generally I prefer solids more.

Have an email into Jason on the test membership and cant wait to get started. Watching a guy around here throwing the Samurai and looks pretty good. The Ravens look amazing and I like the Ogre core but I guess its a modified core for the Ravens. Hopefully Jason gets back to me and I can order today. Who all is on the Visionary program currently?

Test staff has its place, the samurai is a great ball but the invasion should be sweet.
Raven core is lower rg higher diff, compared to the old ogre core. Raven is a great piece very versatile, I got another one coming plus the invasion and another warlock xv pearl. Good luck and enjoy some great equipment!!

Jason said the Invasion cover is a little stronger than the Samurai. He feels about 3-4 boards drilled close to same layout for both, more clean and continuous on the back end is were the Invasion is supposed to shine..

very very good length. Its not a skid snap reaction, but more like a angry arc.
Continuation was fantastic.
I am not sure if it was a little drier last night than last week, its always hard to tell using a new ball, but the 3rd game I put the Invasion away and used the Raven for the 3rd game.
I did not have a good night throwing the ball... I was late getting there and never got into a good flow. But that is not the balls fault. 205-225 the first 2. With no practice it took me a bit to find a line which killed the first game.

How is it different than 90% of the videos out there? Its something different the only ball video out on the Raven Invasion at this time.

I'm not saying you have to agree with me, just thought the video was good considering and the only one at the moment. I appreciated the poster who found it for posting it thats all. Now, not going to go tit for tat here. Let's discuss the Ravens. :)

Went with a different layout than normal, 60 x 3 1/2 x 20. My pro said the ball had a very dense feel as he was drilling into it. Will give it a try tonight.

My ball driller has said that numerous times about Visionary balls. The cover stocks are much thicker than a lot of the other companies' balls and not as much filler.

Went and bowled 5 practice games today and took the Invasion (60 x 3 1/2 x 20), Vandal (85 x 3 x 20) and Respect (60 x 5 1/2 x 30). Pair was a fresh 40' THS.
First impression was that this ball sounds different at the pins. For those of you that used old AZO or Lane Masters equipment, that is what it sounded like. A definite "crack" sound. With the layout I decided to use, this ball is very strong on the backend. I was 5 to 7 left with my feet and 3 with my eyes from the Vandal. I was able to line up almost the same with the Invasion and the Respect. They both got to the pocket but went about it very different. The Respect started up sooner and was more rolly where the Invasion was much longer and stronger. One thing I noticed was that the Respect didn't have the forgiveness with release errors that I seemed to get with the Invasion. This may be attributed to the layout on the Respect but if I didn't catch it right at the bottom it would not make it to the pocket. The Invasion, on the other hand, I had no worries at all that this ball would not hook back. Can't wait to get back on the lanes and throw this ball some more.
Matt....when you get to do your video I hope you do some comparison between the Invasion and the original Raven with the light particle load. Would love to see how they compare.

Sounds like there wasn't enough oil for the Respect compared to the Invasion, as if it were grabbing the midlane too early to use. It is a hybrid with a much lower RG than the Invasion.
