I would check the place vkowalski1970 mentioned and get an idea on price drilled for the goods, then check the amateur staff prices.  Just remember to account for drilling in the prices and see what works out best!!

Just remember he says pins are not guaranteed. You might want to call first to see what he has. I've ordered from them but not balls.

Maybe it's because I'm using my iPad, but the visionary website leaves a lot to be desired. Looking at some of the pages you'd think it hasn't been updated since 2009. It is difficult to tell what the current ball lines are.  The drop down shows about 5 lines, the comparison chart shows 3. The 'test staff' member program is not very clear, even though they use a lot of words. Doesn't give a real clear picture. Plus one of the benefits is 50% off suggested retail price. But no where that I can see shows what those suggested retail prices are.  It's just difficult to tell what you're signing up for.

I've seen the warlock XV in my local shop and it looks great.  An older gentleman in my league has been throwing a warlock XV pearl the last few weeks and it really seems to do a nice job for him. So the product intrigues me, but the dearth of quality info turns me off.  I actually live pretty close to JR and Dawgs but their site isn't any easier or informative (plus it's all Flash). And the face book page for them isn't much better. Every post I feel like I missed the first half of something. No disrespect intended. Clearly passionate and dedicated and I'm sure they'd be a good resource, but in this Information Age, it just seems like you have to work real hard to get good info on this brand and there are too many other options that are easier to access.

Customer should not have to work harder to find a product. I recognize it may be a small player and have limited budgets, but an informative and easy to navigate website is essential and should be the number one non-manufacturing/R&D budget line.  Unless you're HHS of course.

I'm sure that's true and I know I'm going to sound like a lazy SOB (and probably a jerk), but I don't have to call Storm, roto grip, ebonite, hammer, radical, brunswick, c300, 900G, motiv, DV8, AMF, Track to get basic and or non-basic information.

I have no animus towards them and like I said, I'm intrigued. But other manufacturers intrigue me too. Since I'm not in a position to just buy a bunch of bowling balls and I like to do my own research, they just make it too difficult. Some will roll eyes and say how difficult is it to pick up a phone. Well it's not, but that leaves me flat footed. With all of the above listed brands, I can gather boat loads of info and if I have specific questions after that, then it's easy to keep any inquiries focused.

Maybe I'm making too big a thing about it, Just wanted to put a point of view out there. Not trying to be destructive, but rather constructive.

I think you might be missing the point in some of the replies.

Your information is correct.  Visionary has for a lineup, exactly what they show.  There are some balls that are not shown in the current lineup because they aren't made per say, but are listed in the Discontinued because they have them still in stock and are available for purchase.  These are known by many of us that have been buying the throwing Visionary for many years.

The comparison sheet is missing only the Warlocks and the Classic.  All other balls listed in the lineup are there I believe.  While that doesn't mean it's not quite up to date, it doesn't mean it's not accurate.  All of the information on the comparison sheet is clearly listed for the balls from what I saw so it's only a matter of taking the 3 balls not listed and putting the information in there.  Not a big deal.

As for being constructive, what I think others do in terms of helping out is constructive.  The time it took me to do a little looking around to understand what is out there is constructive.  The fact that people reply to assist with your questions is constructive.

Out of curiosity, have you tried calling any of those other places you said you don't have to call?  Call them and tell them in so many words how you bowl and ask them what ball suits you.  Don't call the regular customer service line....call one of the owners of the company and see what you get.  Let us know.  See what that owner tells you specifically about the house conditions you bowl on and what ball fits your lineup.  See how long the owner talks with you, etc.

Jason was out of commission for a while.  But if you ask around, and not just to the people that have been buying Visionary for a while, you will see that the customer service you get from him and the company surpasses what anyone else will offer.
