Frankie May then what ?
« on: September 30, 2006, 07:49:17 AM »
I bowl on wood freshly oiled and stripped lanes(a little hevier, longer and flatter than THS)only with this ball.

Occasionally I'll catch a set where most of the bowlers are on similar line with sanded stuff and the line burns up pretty quick.

When I have to put Frankie in the bag and deal with burnt heads and carry down what would you suggest in the Visionary line?

The Frankie May is leverage drilled with box finish. My goal is to move as little as possible just go to another ball.

My thoughts are another Frankie with the pin up and polished but this is the only Visionary I've used in awhile so a different ball may work.

I feel I bowl in similar circumstances.  I recently took my Dark Thunder(1000 grit) sanded it to 2000 and hit it with renew it.  I found now it is a great ball starting the middle of the second game thru the third game.  Before it was a great ball the first game thru the middle of the second game, so I will either drill another dark thunder or something similar; depending on availability.  If you could experiment as I did you would be able to know before you bought.  I would think the frankie may polished would handle the situation.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I tried the Dark Thunder but the change forced me to move both my feet and target.
I was hoping for a smoother transition.
Anyone have experience with the Blue Sparkle?
I picked a used Charcoal Ex. I'm goin to try that Tues.
