Title: Blue/Green
Post by: carlos on July 08, 2009, 12:39:54 AM
I have a 15lb Blue/Green and when I roll the ball down the lane I can hear it roll over the holes in the ball. I have tried different releases but nothing seems to work. Is the only answer is to have it redrilled ? The proshop person took measurements off of a old ball. Is that good way to lay out a ball ? After he drilled the ball I threw a some shots and I did not hear the ball rolling over the holes at that time. I'm open for suggestions. Thanks

Fill it and re-drill it...

I'd have to search for the email, but I believe Jason told me that the drilling for the ball might need to take into consideration how close you track to the thumb as this ball might pull even closer.

A re-drill sounds like it's needed, but shoot Jason an IM here (VBPadvertising) and ask for suggestions.

I sent Jason a e-mail about the situation and when he replies I will post it. Thanks for the input. I was at their web site but could not find the info. on the B/G.

I was told by Jason  we are going to try a few things before we do a redrill. The first will be to put tape in the finger grips to make it a little more snug. I have a PAP of 1 5/8 up my track is positioned to roll over the thumb hole. He said he was suprised that I don't hit it with other balls as well but other ball have a higher differentil which would flare off the thumb hole faster. He said I could be dumping the ball. I don't think that is the case. The second was the grips being loose and I'm not getting much lift on the ball. The grips seems to be as tight as my other balls but I will put tape in the grips and give it a try. I'm going to try that today and post back later.

I put the tape in the finger holes and I think the problem is solved. I want to practice with it more next week I only bowled 2 games due to time.
