I was wondering if someone who had both the green gargoyle and the blue gryphon could do a comparison of the two ball's for me? I am looking for the difference in lenth, hook and oil handling capabilitys. I know the gryphon is a solid coverstock and the gg is pearlized but the gg has a higher rg so it should get more lenth and a higher diff and should hook a little more.The gryphon has a little lower rg and a little lower diff so it should be earlier with slightly less hook. I have a gg and looking for something to handle more oil (medium) and was wondering if the gryphon was enough of a step up. Thanks.

I found by blue gryphon was more versatile. a lot had to do with the drillings.
I had the blue drilled pin under ring and cg kicked out (basically 5x3), the GG was drilled with pin over ring and cg stacked below.
the Gryphon was more even and easier to control from fresh house shots( a little skid/snap) to dry ( would arc the whole way).
both hit great and carried well. But the blue gryphon knocked the Red X and GG out of my bag.
The Blue has just as big backend but more happens in the midlane. if you lnock off the polish it might handle more oil.

This is just based on my style and experience but the Green Gargoyle is what I use for light oil. The Blue Gryphon I can use on light-medium conditions. For medium oil, I use the Red Executioner or the Blue Warlock. For med-heavy condition, the Charcoal Executioner. Note that I have only mentioned the reactive balls, not any particle balls. Again, this is only based on my style of play, someone with more or less revs, ball speed, release, or definitions of lane conditions may have a different opinion.
