Title: Core designs?
Post by: A_P_K on June 14, 2004, 01:59:07 AM
Eric, Gary, or the Dude...anyone who knows,

This is a simple question I'd like clarification on.  Upon visiting Buddies Pro Shop I noticed the pictures of the cores are new.  Does this mean all the Green, Granite, and Slate Gargoyles have the new core?  The same goes for the Gryphons, do the new core pictures mean they are being made with the new core designs?

Thanks

I think OmegaBowler is right.  In the literature I had received before, the core was a 2D picture.  When Visionary brought out the Gryphon line, they had a 3D view on their website.  Looking at Buddies website, the only core that looks different to me is the Gargoyle, but on Visionary's website they still show it as a 2D view, while Buddies has it as a 3D view, so I think it is the same core, just a different view of it.

I just want 2C was'zzub.

The core designs have not changed.
In the new catalog there are 3D views of the cores.
If you look very closely at the three Gargoyle cores
you will see that they are the same picture (the slate blue).

Same is true with the gryphon core.  Buddie's used the maroon
core picture for all of them which is misleading because the blue
does not have the same core as the other two.

Same Core designs, just better graphics.

Like video games, and movies, graphic technology gets better to help us better understand.

Thanks fellas, Eric hit the nail on the head with the Gryphon cores, I like the Burgundy/G3 core better.  I haven't used the new Slate core yet, but...

So does that mean from now on all of the balls will be manufactured with the newer cores, or it's going to be business as usual?  I will be needing replacement Green Gargoyles and Blue Gryphons for stock, and I'd prefer to keep the original cores.

The slate blue Gargoyle has the same core as the original.
The picture is just different.

The only line that has the misleading pictures is the gryphon line
on Buddies site.  The Blue is not the same as the other two.
