just picked up one of these NIB for very cheap. i was doing a little research on this ball and most say its stronger than the green gargoyle. i have a GG and its pretty strong. its drilled with the pin up and to the left of ring finger with the CG stacked straight down from the pin. i was looking at the drill sheet for the crimson and noticed it has a nonmarked mass bias. which can either be used for more exocit layouts or not used at all. considering the strenght of the GG and the implied strenght of the crimson. i want to drill this ball to be WEAKER than the GG. so my question is should i use the mass bias or ignore it. i am looking for as much lenght as i can get with a nice pop on the backend. i was just thinking about putting the pin up and between the fingers with the CG somewhere in or near the grip center but i am open to any suggestions. thanks in advance.

The cover on the Crimson is the same as the GG but the core is lower rg, so it gets into a roll faster. I had one drilled pin above bridge and cg center grip and the backend pop was uncontrollable for me. Is you GG box finish? If so, then I would recommend taking the Crimson and going 1000, 2000, then 4000 abralon to get added length and add polish if needed. I believe the CEs are 1500 polished from factory. IMO, if you wanted weaker than the GG, you could have picked up a Ogre Urethane. Good luck with the Crimson. It is ONE AWESOME BALL. I had 3 of them. One cracked (had it a long time). One I still have, and one I sold to a friend who wanted to try VBP for the first time and he loves the reaction he gets from it.

I'd love to find one of these in 15#. I used to have one. Let it get cold and it cracked on me. My own fault and I was sick.
