I did not take your post as criticism, I was trying to answer your question or provide more info to an interested bowler.

To give you some more background info, Visionary was started by some former people from the Faball company that made the original Hammer line so they have a pedigree in urethane which may explain why they have made some very good urethane balls in the past (Sorcerer, Ogre Urethane, Gargoyle Urethane, and Amulet Glowing).

They also have a very good QC program, in which they inspect every ball off the line, not just a sampling as some other companies do.  If you ever want a decent bargain, look for one of their seconds or blems as they call them.  Many of them look like a first ball.

I didn't think you did and found your post(s) pretty informative. Just making myself clear. :D

Unfortunately the Faball era was before my time, at least as a serious (and old enough to really know anything) bowler. Given the praise I've heard and read about their past urethane balls under that name the new one coming out soon might be my first foray into Visionary.

Another question I've been mulling over is where do most people buy their stuff? Directly from their site or do some pro shops/suppliers get shipments in? I'm always interested in a good deal so a second or a blem from them sounds like a good idea to me but I have no idea where I would get one from.

You can buy from them direct, and I far as blems or seconds you will have to get them from Visionary.

www.visionarybowling.com is the place to go to order new, to check for blems/seconds you will need to email Jason Wonders vbpadvertising@aol.com or call 314-388-3446

Don't get out here much, so it's nice to see some more recent posts for VBP.  It's nice to see that others only throw VBP as that's the only company I've thrown for probably the last 8 or so years as a guess.

Met Jason at one of the TCBA tournaments in San Antonio about 8-9 years ago, and we chatted a lot about the old Faball equipment as that's all I was throwing back then.  He got me interested in VBP and haven't looked back since then.

Since then I have had:
Blue Centaur Particle
Blue Green Centaur
Bronze Centaur (2)
Ogre Particle
Ogre Pearl
Ogre SS (2)
Ogre Urethane (NIB)
New Breed Solid
New Breed Particle Pearl
New Breed Pearl
Slate Blue Gargoyle (2)
Violet Gargoyle (2)
Violet Gargoyle (NIB-2)
Green Gargoyle (NIB)
Immortal Pearl (2)
Midnight Scorcher (2)
Scorcher NPT (NIB)
Gladiator Solid
Gladiator Pearl
G-3 Gryphon
Blue Sparkle Gryphon
Frankie May Gryphon (NIB)
Purple Ice Executioner (NIB)
Charcoal Executioner (NIB)
Purple Ice Executioner (2)
Spartan
Blue Warlock (NIB)
Warlock XV (2)
Warlock XV Pearl
Raven Particle Pearl (NIB)
Centaur
Gryphon Special Edition

Of the above, my daily stuff consists of Warlock XV Hybrid, Warlock Pearl and Gladiator Pearl.  I do have a Purple ICE (that's going to Spike2112 though).

I wish I had the purple ogre, immortal pearl and immortal solid back.
I'm picking up your[?] Immortal Pearl on my way to Reno this week. Chip got one from Leon. Could be your old one. lol
If you didn't like that strike, watch this one!

I have used several Visionary balls over the years. Just changed houses and switched from dry wood lanes to oily synthetics. Currently using a New Breed Solid, and a Granite Gargoyle. In storage have the following.:
Gladiator Pearl and Solid
Frankie May Gryphon, Slate Blue Gryphon, and G-3 Gryphon
Pearl Ogre, Urethane Ogre, and SS Ogre
New Breed Pearl

My Favorites at my old house were the Gladiator Pearl, Ogre Pearl, and the Slate Blue Gryphon. Used in that order as my old house got drier and I got older (slower).

Looks like a nice blend of stuff. Now you just need some Raven's and a Samurai  ;)

I recently jumped on board with a used Warlock XV Hybrid and a Raven. I'm very impressed with how these balls roll and hit! I can't wait to get my next Visionary ball!
