Title: Disappointed with receptionist!!!!

I need to vent for a minute.  First of all, when I called this morning for a shot at the new Gargoyle, she did not even answer saying she worked for Visionary, but "2nd Generation Marketing", or something like that.  I told her that I was looking to speak to the person about the hidden logo.  Her response was that according to HER clock, it did not start for another minute, then hangs up on me.  A minute later, I tried calling back but I kept getting the sound of a fax machine.  10 minutes later, I finally get through to her and she replies that the 5 balls have already been given out.  After a long night at work and only getting a few hours sleep, I set the alarm to wake up, and after what had transpired, needless to say I was a little upset, but knew there was nothing I could do.  So, I just went back to sleep.  I am just venting because I thought she could have handled it better.  Anyways....congrats to those who got the ball.  Post reviews when you can as I am curious to see what the comparison is to the Green.  Take care, peeps!!!!

What contest are you referring to?  The last one I remember was about the hidden VBP logo in an ad but that was quite a while back.

MI 2 AZ,

They had an ad in the Bowlers Journal about the new Violet Gargoyle.  In the ad, they hid the logo.  If you could find the logo and call in to Visionary with the correct location, if you were one of the first 5 to do so, they would ship you the ball for free.  I have been taught that customer service is what wins people over.  Her customer service blew goats.  NOW.....if the rolls were reversed and I was the one answering the phone, my response would have been more along the lines of, "Well, sir.  My clock does say we are a minute off, but I will give you benefit of the doubt and get you to the right people", or "Tell you what if you hold on for about 30 seconds, I will take down your info and make sure you get a chance for the ball."  Customer service wins over and keeps customers wanting more.

A question I've asked in these circumstances is:

"If your boss were listening now would he be happy.....?"

Sometimes they get it and say no! Other times they say "Yes",
I reply, "Wanna bet... your job on it", "Let's get him on the line".

Sometimes it straightens out sometimes it gets REAL interesting.

Did she give her name?

I can't believe Betsy would act like that.  She is the best there is.
Are you sure you called Visionary?

I have never had any problems with Betsy.  Betsy took a leave a while ago,
and there was another lady (Dawn) that took her place, but that was a while ago.

I doubt that it was Betsey.  Sounds like you were hooked up to a marketing outfit that Visionary hired.  Not sure about that but if you spoke with Betsey or any of the Wonders very doubtful you would get that type of treatment.  

Another reason, as I said last year that one of the Wonders needs/should post occasionally here to iron things out.  Better PR for them.  IMO....the best ball forums on this site are DT and Roto because a company leader posts regularily.  I'm gone during summer maybe there are other forums that have company reps.  I know JeffMop posts regularily on Columbia's forum.  

On that note Visionary's forums on it's website are poor.  You may get an answer from one of the Wonders but it may take a week or more.  If you want best contact e-mail individually or phone.

I am positive I called Visionary.  I even asked if it was Visionary after they said 2nd Generation Marketing and she confirmed that it was in fact Visionary.  She did not give her name or anything.  Thats okay, though.  Thanks to those for giving the idea of contacting Visionary straight through their own website.  I may go ahead and send Jason or John a little note about what happened just to see what kind of response I get.  Take care!!

Still find it kind of odd, because it was the customer service that won me over in the first place.

Hey all.  I find it difficult also.  I just joined the test staff and spent quite a bit of time with Betsy in the office.  She was very helpful to me.  I have also called and talked more than a few times with Visionary and been pleased.  I did notice that the phone was anserwed 2nd Generation more than once so they must be parallel/same company.  Anyways, though it is no excuse, everyone has a bad/off day and lets customer service slip.  So far I have been pleased with the service---give them another chance.

Tappa, how would you feel if that happend to you though?  Anyone in customer service is the first line of contact to the customers.  If that was your company would you want people working in customer service who need second chances?

I'm glad to hear that the customer service rep wasn't pure evil, but I'm also glad for the initial Post.


Not trying to belittle it, all we are saying is that we doubt if it was Betsy that he talked to.
