What's coming new from Visionary:
« on: March 31, 2016, 01:33:02 PM »
I have been getting several messages about what's new from Visionary.
I talked to Jason to see if its OK, he said to give this out:

Next release will be a urethane, within 30-45 days.
A new lineup in late summer.
Another ball squeezed in between those releases.

That's all you get for now. 8)

JMO but if you have a G/B or VBP brought out another G/B Centaur the majority of us would opt for that ball rather than a true urethane.  Two issues you have the carry down issues on modern conditions and use of conditioners like Ice and Defy with urethane...I am speaking of house lane conditions.  Plus the majority of us are bowling generally on 39' and above lengths and these medium length patterns do not play into the use of shorter pattern urethane usage.

What I see is bowlers using urethane because over the years their ball speed has dropped and they can't hold the pocket with lower end entry line resin.....playing outside of the track or in the track as proprietors tend to put nothing outside no blend.  This is for many a fitting issue (can't develop longer/free arm swing-grabbing the ball, etc.) and not dropping ball weight plus the ability to move deeper inside and not comfortable with deeper inside lines.

I would probably buy both, but if I had to choose between urethane or a Blue Green Centaur or a remake of the Blue/Green, I would probably choose the Blue Green Centaur.

I'd only buy maybe 3 more Blue.Green Centaurs. (no smiley face)
and maybe 2 new pearl urethanes ....

Very true.

What sucks is the Blue Green is such a great ball for the condition I hit last night, but I honestly hate to throw it because I know there are no more out there. Sort of a catch 22...

Sounds weird, but its true.
