With similar drillings, the Violet is going to be about 10 boards stronger than the Slate.  On a THS, the Slate would be something to play up the 5 board whereas the Violet, you may have to play closer to 3rd arrow.  On any carry down or longer patterns, the Slate would be virtually useless with the urethane cover unless you really strap on it.

After looking at your profile, with that rev rate, you may be about an arrow different.  I would say 5-7 boards different and I would say about 5-7 feet earlier as well.

That would be good to fit under the Strike Zone.  The Violet will want to go longer down the lane with a little more backend.  You arsenal should be as follows:

Fury
Strike Zone
Violet
Slate Blue

Well...I had so much backend my Blue Green Centaur is the only ball I could keep on the left side of the headpin...Even my Ogre with 4000 Abralon and pin above fingers 5 inches from PAP was too much ball, so the Violet and Green Gargoyles never saw the light...

If you join the Visionary test staff, you can get any Visionary ball you want.
