Ogre Pearl
« on: May 14, 2008, 09:48:43 AM »
Ordered one today.  Looking for drill pattern.
PAP = 4 1/4 over, 3/8 down (pretty low track these days).
Thinking about pin above ring finger, cg in slightly - for me about a 4 x 4.5.
Looking to get something I can go deeper with, and not cover 40 boards, on flatter longish patterns.  This ball will replace a Roto Silve Streak Pearl that worked well on this pattern and could also be used on a THS played from outside.

Am I on the right track?

Rags,

Best ball I've used in past couple of season.  Handles a lot of different situations depending on cover and your technique.  Ball motion arcy/rolling but gets thru the heads easily.

I have one pin over ring and CG at 80 deg. pretty much 4.25" pin to PAP and 4.25".  Took mine to 4000 ab from OOB .  I like it this way as it covers a lot of conditions and will handle some carry down.

Like I've said before Visionary's pearlized coverstocks have always been their main stay.  I don't think you'll be sorry you got an OP. The cover and Ogre core with it's just average differential .031 for me are perfectly matched. I tend to be slightly rev dominant.
