You better have a FLOOD if you want to throw the AMB Particle or else it'll burn up quickly.  (mine does!)

The Gladiator is a Heavy Rolling Beast...it will not hook on a Flood...on heavier oil it makes me square up but it still rolls early enough to roll through the oil and still finish...dont be afraid to drill it up aggressive if you plan to see some volume...

Also remember OOB its @ 2000 so there is lots of room to play

Yes. It has the same coverstock as the FMG, but come OOB at a finer grit and has a (very) high flaring core - especially for higher speed bowlers it is a good reactive option on oil, has more potential than the FMG, but is an asymmetrical, higher MB ball with all its benefits and challenges.
The FMG, on the other side, handles at OOB oil very well, it is a very good all-round ball, IMO more versatile than the IS.

What type of layout would you guys suggest on an AMB Particle?

Would a simple label layout work better like a 4 inch pin to PAP and cg toward center of grip Or pin over ring and cg kicked out?

I just picked a NIB one up a while ago and finally going to drill it. Ball has a 3 inch pin. This is my first Visionary ball.

Its an assymetric ball, CG shouldnt really matter as much. Mine is pin under ring, AMB is close to the VAL with a big old hole on the CG. Flare separation is huge, ball starts hooking very early. It doesnt have as many rings as my solid or pearl AMB balls, but the rings are at least a 1/2" apart. It has to have ALOT of oil or it hits the pocket like mush.

With your PAP, that's a very effective oil ball drilling. I have an Eliminator with a similar setup, and it is 1st choice on soupy lanes because it gets to roll and break early - that's what the wide flare rings signal. Vene though the Eliminator has a lower particle load (and mine is at 1500 grit), I need some serious head oil for it to be effective. With an AMB Particle, this is IMHO the ultimate oil setup - if this thing does not work, you either have too little oil, or the lane machine is broken and you are facing an oil pond...

If you put this layout on an Immortal, beware, because of the huge flare potential of their cores. It would only be useful if you have low revs and/or high speed. Otherwise, you might face flare-out (ball settles in a stable core position too early to be effective). The AMB core is "milder", and would IMHO the better choice for a bowler with a balanced revs/speed ratio - either the Solid or the Particle.

i was supprised on how strong the particle is.  Even though everybody on here told me strong it is.  I am in the process of trying to get mine to be usable.  i have had a couple of nights in league where i thought i should be able to throw it.  Mine right now just burns up to quickly.  I am suprised on how low my track is on this ball and how much it flares.  Not sure how it is drilled(shame on me).

Problem with trying this ball is that I rarley hit conditions that need this ball.  So i am torn, do i keep this ball the way it is and probably not use it all.  I then would need a ball that would go in between the AMB particle and my widdow (i am getting a Gladiator to replace the widow).  I could also make my AMB particle a little more usable(might defeat the purpuse of the ball).
