G3 and Ogre SS

How do these balls compare given the same drilling and coverstock preparation?

Depends on how you lay them out, ball surface, your technique, lane surface and condition.  ALL things consdiered G-3 much stronger piece than the SS.

With its higher RG core and the more modern coverstock the SS is supposed to go long and flip/break sharp, maintaining energy well, while the G-3 with its lower RG and much more differential is smoother, covers more lane area with the same setup and breaks earlier by tendency - even though it is also pretty flippy when drilled to go long and have a sharp breakpoint. IMHO, the SS is useful on lighter conditions than the G-3, while I'd consider the G-3 simply to be the overall stronger option.
