Just Ordered my Immortal Pearl
« on: May 12, 2006, 05:52:09 AM »
I emailed Betsy this morning over at Visionary, she said the Immortal Black pearl was released last Friday, so I ordered one up, should have it next week, I will let you guys know how it goes.

She gave me a little info on the ball, take particulair attention to the Flare potential:

It is a Reactive designed for Medium lanes.
Lowest RG 2.31", Differential .078", Flare Potential 6-9".
The factory finish is 1500 polish.

I believe that this is one of the last balls that falls under the grandfather ruling of the USBC.

Yeah, it would have to be... I think the max differential is now set to 0.058?  It may be worth stocking up on a few of these as I doubt we will see core dynamics to match this anytime in the near future...

He's talking about just the rg, not the rg differential.  Before the whole grandfathering thing, a ball couldn't have an rg of 2.31 and be legal.

I would like to tell you the cost of the ball and I am sure it is not  top secret classified information, but as a Visionary test staff member I am bound by the agreement not to disclose the cost.  As a test staff member I receive balls at 50% off suggested retail.  The cost test staff pay is the same as the Frankie May, if you are a test staff member and have a price list it is the same as the Frankie May which I believe is there most expensive ball. so they are pricing it a little above the other AMB balls.  Sorry to be so vague

Yeah, that's a typo - should be lowest RG 2.51 according to the printed Visionary flyer, although the email they sent said it was 2.50
