Well joined the test staff yesterday.  Very friendly customer service on the phone.

I ended up getting:

Ogre Solid:  i'm going to sand it to 1000 grit abralon
Ogre Pearl:  OOB
Frankie May:  going to leave it for heavier oil
Slate Blue:  OOB

Upgraded to the four ball bag also.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the test staff!

I purchased the same balls and added a Green/Blue Centaur.  I agree that Visionary has the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with.

Good luck with your new equipment!

Hey Chris, I am a recent new member as well. My membership was approved on April 6th. In any case, good choice on the balls. Personally, I picked up the Immortal Solid and Pearl, the FMG and the Slate Blue. I already had an Ogre and a Bronze Centaur.

I really want that Pearl Ogre. I may order it up today!!!

Congrats and Good Luck with the new equipment.

question for jason wonders, the rg is listed at 2.59, but it says low. is it supposed to read 2.49 or is it a 2.59 high rg?

Hi Jorr19,

The RG listed is what is called the Low RG.  Basically, when determining the RG, tests are run in a cradle on an x,y,and z axis.  Each axis has it's own RG measurement, and the lowest RG rating is the one that we use for our advertising.  For example, a ball may calculate out to have the following:

x - 2.540"
y - 2.573"
z - 2.585"

In this case, we would put in our advertisements LOW RG - 2.54".  You can also see from the measurements that the Differential (aka differential radius of gyration) is .045"  This measurement is determined by taking the difference between the high and low RG measurements.

RG measurements tell you a little bit about how the weight is distributed in the ball.  A low RG ball means that the average weight distribution is closer to the center of the ball.  A high RG ball means that the weight is more towards the outside of the ball.  These measurements are different on each axis, and the greater the difference, the higher the differential.

Hope this helps,

Thanks to everyone and as soon as my balls come in i will take a picture of all four.

Also will take a picture of all four after being drilled.  I am trying to figure out how to drill the Purple Ogre, as i want it to go long and then make its move.  I am thinking about the pin being in between both fingers and up a little with the cg kicked out to the right.

Hi Jorr19,

I assume that you are speaking of Classic Products trade show?  We no longer use Classic as a distributor of our equipment.  We do however still use several midwest distributors, including Ace Mitchell (Cuyahoga Falls Ohio), and Gran Prix Bowling Supplies (here in St Louis).  Most likely, I will be at the Gran Prix trade show, and Frankie May will be representing us at the Ace Mitchell trade show.

Thanks again,
Jason Wonders

Hi BKloss300

I believe the trade show is July 18-20, but I have not received the information packet yet, so I'm not exactly sure what times, and what the events are this year.

For the most part, these trade shows are strictly for the Pro Shops that purchase through the distributors.  For the manufacturers, it is a way to do a meet and greet with pro shops, and get them up to date on what the plans are for the upcoming fall season.  It's also a way for us to introduce ourselves to pro shops who may not be familiar with our line of equipment.

It's usually not too exciting, but it can be very beneficial for both the manufacturers and the pro shops.

Everything came just as i had ordered and the 4 ball bag is very nice.  I will have pictures up of everything once they are drilled.
