Title: New Breed Particle Pearl
Post by: mab on November 20, 2010, 06:09:18 AM
I have not seen much on this ball here which makes me ask these questions.

First my specs: PAP 5 over 0,17*tilt,45* rotation,11" track dia,16-17 mph off hand,275-325 revs. Prefer to play, 20 laydown-15 arrows-10-7 break.

I was thinking 3.5-4 stacked even with or slightly below ring and a cover adjustment does this ball have enough recovery and continuation to play from here. cover adjustments I was thinking of:
1- 500 ab w/rough buff
2- 800 ab gritless polish
3- 1000 ab w/compound
Please any and all feedback opinions are greatly appreciated

Mike

only thing i would alter is the pin, i would place it above the finger, the NB line has a very strong core and i have had better results with a higher pin on all mine.

+1.......Unless you are a high speed, high rev rate player, especially with a ball that has particle in the cover, I dont recommend a pin down layout.  I would do a pin at 5 inches (should be above the ring finger), kick the cg/mb at 45 degrees, and put a weight hole in the P3.  Have a friend of mine that even took his cover and added a light coat of polish over the OOB finish and it rolls absolutely fantastic.

If anyone out there is worried about the scores being too high, try duckpin!!
