Im really anxious to throw these but i prolly wont get to throw them until next week...if i get a chance to throw them before ill post a mini review for everyone!

The pearl is great looking, the solid is one of those love it or hate it colors...i love it!

I got to see both New Breeds rolled today and the solid is every bit as ugly in person as it is in these pics.

Couldn't you get 3-4 more boards of total hook if you took the surface of the Gladiator solid from 2000 Ablaron to 1000 Ablaron and it would be the same as the New Breed solid?

You could get more Barry.  But the differential being higher on the Solid NB will give you more flare potential and I assume the Drakonian cover stock might also be stronger than the Galea on the Solid Glad.  I am not sure the strength differences in the Serpentine core vs. the Mohawk core.  Time will tell.  

I am guessing the Solid NB would be close to your Agent Orange in total hook...they might go about it in a different way...new balls are hard to judge one against another til they've been around awhile.

BTW....I love the Solid Glad on medium patterns....I am getting the Solid NB for longer heavier patterns where my Ogre Particle won't match up as well with it's lower differential.  Sometimes you need that lil extra oomph on the back end.  Especially us tweeners.

Not to rain on anyones parade, and just to make sure I want to say that I LOVED the older hammer stuff before the Wonders family sold the name, but has anyone elso noticed some similarities between some of the oldish hammer cores and the last couple of releases from visionary?

  The Gladiators used what seemed to me to be a variant of the blue 2001 hammer version ( space filled in between the offsets to creat the MOHAWK core ) and now the NEW BREED looks to be a slight variant of the SPIKE core ( even though it does appear to have an extra piece on the upper "neck" portion).

  Not saying anything bad here at all, I really liked both of those balls ( had a blue with a good cover, but especially my pearl SPIKE ), just wondering if this core will let the NEW BREDD have some of the same characteristics I liked in that SPIKE I had?

  And I LOVE the colors on both of these balls as well as the gladiator pearl, the NB solid looks like a piece of Christmas candy!

I agree with what you are saying Juggernaut.  I had a Hammer Spike HPT....very heavy rolling ball in heavy mediums to heavy.  Great ball.  I traded it wish I still had it but it was a 16.

Thank you for the feedback.  I have throw a ton of bowling balls and I don't think I ever said that there was any one ball that should be in someones arseanl but I have to say, if there was a ball that I would recommend should be in everyones arseanl, it would be the Gladiator solid.  I probably have about 150 bowling balls sitting around the house 30 of them being Lane 1 bowling balls and none would I recommend that everyone should have in their bag except the Gladiator solid in box condition (and I have the pearl).  I think the Agent Orange is another ball that could easily be in everyones bag but more because how versitile the AO can be.  If its possible for the NB Solid to handle the same conditions as the AO then it would be a less expensive but of course I don't know if the NB solid would be as versatile.

It's been stated in the different threads, but it's gotta be tough to come up with different color schemes that appeal to a lot of different people....and coming up with something new, and exciting, and something that's going to catch the eyes of other bowlers.....well....it can't be that easy.

I think the colors are fine.  Sure....they are loud.  But in creating a new ball/line, the idea is to get people to notice the ball...approach the bowler and ask what the heck he's throwing.  If the shock value of the colors does that initially, then a huge part of the objective has been met and yet another bowler has been introduced to the Visionary name!!

I know for me, I am up 14 pins from last years average in league and 5 or so pins in travel.  Last year I threw some Visionary and mostly older Fabs (Hi-Revs, Sledge, etc) and this year I am throwing only the newer Visionary stuff for the most part.  I attribute that to the selection of balls I've got now......and nothing more.  When I throw good, the balls carry better than anything I had before.

The pattern appeared to be on the shorter side but they looked slick.  Most players were playing breakpoints around 5 but needed some surface to get to the hole.  The bowler using the New Breeds is on the lower side of revs but plenty accurate.  He was able to use the NB Solid and that ball rolled extremely smooth for him on that shot.  Looked to have plenty of hook potential, but very smooth reaction.

If you look back at Visionary balls it is interesting in that they never did the same color twice or there was something different regarding the ball i.e. sparkles/pearls/more than one color and so forth. I think they are always trying to come up with something different, & eye catching instead of using the same colors/concepts over and over again.  I think the balls look pretty cool and it will be neat seeing them go down the lane.  

Can't wait to see what the new Urethane Ogre will look like.  The symetricle core, added coverstock will likely equal a very good high performing urethane bowling ball, it will probably make me think back to the good old Faball days.
