Ogre and Warlock xv comparison
« on: November 09, 2013, 10:09:44 AM »
Hello to all. Just curious how the two balls compare to one another. Are the new warlocks essentially the replacements to the Ogre line? Thank you.

The Coverstock on the Warlock is quite a bit more aggressive than the Ogre.  Same basic ball motion, a strong arc, but the Warlock does cover a few more boards and starts up a little earlier

At least for me.

My Ogre was a suprisingly versatile ball despite the ob surface. My Warlock XV when left at the ob surface it was burning up and not hitting well. It rolled GREAT, but didn't hit well. I changed the surface to 1200 grit wet sand and light compound and it came alive. My Ogre was great @ the ob finish most always in the houses I bowled in. As a matter of fact I just received another one recently to go along with my Warlock and my Classic.
