VISIONARY BALL DECISION????????
« on: November 21, 2005, 01:36:22 PM »
I currently have two visionary balls which are the Frankie May and the Green Gargoyle. I use the Frankie May for Med-Heavy Oil and the Green Gargoyle for med-light oil. I was looking for a Visionary ball the would fit right in between those balls. I was thinking about going with the Violet Gargoyle or the G-3 Gryphon. I am open to all suggestions, thanks.

Yeah, a Violet would be a good addition, or perhaps a Bronze AMB Centaur.

All things being equal generally the G-3 is more skid snappish like the Greenie and the Violet more arcing rolling like the FM.  If you are looking for more angular and want pearlized I'd go the the G-3.  If looking for a easy reading ball a solid then the Violet.  I like both for different reasons.

Thanks, but it is going to be tuff to find a G-3 at a good price.

I am not sure if they are discontinued or not, as I know the Crimson is, but see if you can get your hands on a Charcoal Executioner.  The Ex line was stronger than the Gargoyle line, but will be a little weaker than the Frankie May.  If not, the Violet is a unknown gem.

I agree with TWOHAND, I think the Violet Gargoyle is one of bowling's best kept secrets. Visionary doesn't get the kind of publicity that other companies do that are PBA registered but with products like the Violet that is changing. Although a part of me still likes to keep Visionary as a secret!
