So I have an Infrared Amulet (polyester coverstock) as a spare ball that was left with a nasty gash tonight in league. The alley manager and owner said they couldn't repair the gash because it is a Viz-a-ball. I said its not a Brunswick plastic ball, and the response I got was, "its Visionary, might as well be." They said they'll have the proshop look at it, and will let me know. Is this something that can be repaired or am I out of luck. I just want to have an educated response if it is repairable.

I would use some clear plug material on it

Thanks, I’ll suggest trying the clear plug, but I just hope they’ll be receptive.

If it's not too deep, simple super glue will work as well. Make sure it is dry and sand/smooth just like plug.
If deep, then clear plug is the best option.
Even viz a balls can be plugged (they may not look 100%, but so what...

Been researching this if I get hung out to dry. I saw the super glue plus accelerator as an option. Are you aware of a super glue that would dry clear and not turn white?

Is it in the ball track?
If it isn’t, I wouldn’t worry about it.
I’ve got a ball from 1987 that got a decent size “gouge†on it when it was almost new.
Wasn’t in the track, so I never fixed it.
Still throw it at spares to this day. (Used to be my strike ball).

From what I have experienced, it will turn white around the edges/top as it dries. But after sanding/resurfacing smooth, this disappears. I have only done this with small Knicks maybe up to 1/2" long or so...

Quick update, looks like they repaired with some clear plug. Results were pretty good. Thanks for the comments.
