What type of polish do you guys have the best result with ?

I have seen good results with black magic.

I use Nu Finish Car Polish.  Works just as good, if not better, then the bowling brands and costs way less!

Haven't used it but I heard that the "Special Sauce" sold by Beansproshop is some of the best stuff out there.

in the past when i was using Lane#1 Buzzsaw mike told me to use
Mothers Mag & aluminum wheel polish. It worked great just didnt know if it would be good on Visionary stuff.

charlest will be by and tell you the best polishes to use w/ grit and without.  He knows more about this subject than any other on BR.

I have used on my Solid "Pumpkin" a variation of LM/L polish and also Beans's very light coat both w/out grit..  Also tried Storm Step #1 w/ grit.  Results varied on the condition I was trying to defeat.

Yes, it is.  It's like $5 or $6 on most auto stores, Walmart, etc...

I'm not sure how good it would work by hand, but it works great on a spinner!

funny you should say that. i am in the process of making my own. i took an old treadmill motor since we never used it anyway, mounted it ona cabinet with the fly wheel sraight up. i am having a friend weld some bolts on the wheel so a can put a flower pot on it and snug it on. i actually took the control panel and mounted it on a stand so i can control the speed. it would go up to 8 mph when running before so i will need to slow it down, it's 17.8 amps so it wil fly if i want it to. i can't move it, but it's pretty cool. i have it out in the garage and i live in indiana so i am not too sure how it will hold up in the winter. we were going to throw it away cause the belt kept screwing up so i said what the heck. when it's done i will throw some pictures on the sight.

I'd be very careful with stuff not made for bowling balls, in general.
The only non-bowling ball specific polishes I have used were auto polishing and rubbing compounds, and 3M's Finesse-It II. Brunswick have already proved the auto compounds (That is, the stuff made for car paints) are safe and BECAUSE they are labelled that they do not contain waxes or silicones.

Both can clog the pores of the resin compounds of which balls are made.

Re:bowling ball polishes
There are two basic kinds: those that contain some abrasive or grit and those that don't.

Thos that do will change the grit level of the ball; the others will not change it, only make it shine for great er skid thru the heads.

Some of those with no abrasive:
Legends Factory finish polish
Track's Magic Shine
Ebonite Factory Finish
Brunswick's High Gloss polish
Ultimate's Black Magic
Neo-Tac's Renew-it

Some of those with Abrasive:
Storm's Reacta Shine
Storm's Xtra Shine
Brunswick's Rough Buff
Track's Clean and Sheen
Ultimate's Quick Cut  (Kut?) and Shine (not technically a polish)
Storm's Step polishes
Columbia's Degree polishes

There is no single best one, that I am aware of.

What I use most often are
Polish w/abrasive: Storm Xtra Shine for gloss and Track Clean and Sheen for a compound polish
Polish w/no abrasive: Brunswick High Gloss polish, Track Magic Shine and Legends polish equally.

What I prefer is to use the polish made for or suggested by the company whose ball I am changing. That said, Xtra Shine and Clean and Sheen work on everything I tried them on, so far.
