Serial Numbers on Visionary Balls

Just punched up my NBPP I won from the Facebook contest (Thanks Visionary!).  I've been doing well with it so far in my summer league, but my pinky finger is taking a beating because it rests right where the engraved serial number is located.  I know this was discussed a few years back in this forum, but is there something I can do aside from wearing a band-aid on my finger when I bowl?

If broken you mean engraving filler coming out or wearing fast.  The ONLY Visionary ball that I have had and I have just about had every one manufactured was the Pearl Ogre.

The engravings came out of my Ogre Pearl too, just filed it up with a different colour..

My understanding of the OP's problem is that Visionary does not fill in the serial number engraving, so they can be deep and have sharp edges.  If your finger rests or rubs against one of these edges, you will notice it.  My thought was trying to fill in the serial numbers with a paint stick (or anything else that has been mentioned/recommended by others here) to try to eliminate the serial number 'valleys' so that the finger does not dig into it as much.

Put the ball on spinner and hit with a pad or paper.

I'm going with the caulk route. I couldn't get it to be perfectly smooth, but hopefully the "valleys" as you say are reduced. I'll see how it goes...
