Does this urethane actually hit.  The Lane #1 XXL does, does this even come close?

Sure it hits.  Can't compare it to an XXL though.  I finally got a chance to use mine on some serious dry yesterday.  They didn't oil since the afternoon before.  With my normal warmup speed and release (slowly roll the ball from the left ditch across the middle and just a little fingers) it turned left way early and crossed over.  After getting lined up, you couldn't tell from the hit that I wasn't using resin.  The 10 may have fallen a little slower, but I didn't have my weak resin (Blue Hot Flame) with me to compare.

Used on dry, this ball hits great. I haven't used the xxl so I can't compare. I have been very happy with my Slate when I have enough dry to use it.

This ball has enough hit when you have middle to above
average hand. PBA Member on my team can only use urethane
on our later league and the core makes it hit better than
old pancake Urethanes. The price is much better than the
XXL also. But that is not a rip on the XXL's performance.
