AMB Solid vs. Immortal Solid?

so, i'm currently in the market for a strong, dull solid, and having success with my previous Visionary equipment, i'll be staying with them. gentlemen, we have a convert.

i really don't see a flood-i just need a ball to fit over my ogre pearl that can open the lane up on heavier shots, but also handle carrydown. also, i need the ball to be versatile.

how do the AMB Solid and the Immortal Solid stack up?

Well i have the AMB solid and pearl and odly enough the pearl hooks more but regardless.
I would have to say the Immortal solid just for the pure fact that its a huge ball. As it was grandfathered in before the usbc ruled that the diff. could only be up to .060 the IS has a staggering .078 which in turn means the potential for more flare. The specs on the IS tell us that the ball can flare anywhere upto a massive 9". The cover is strong and the finish gives awesome traction in oil. Throw a strong drilling on it on you'll be fine.

Well, I just got my Frankie May drilled up today, and though I barely threw it for score (was fine-tuning fingers/thumb), I can say that this ball was strong on the carrydown I saw today. My Cuda/C from Columbia wasn't even turning over, and the Frankie May was getting a good 5 boards of recovery on the backend. Keep in mind, that it was oily enough that I ended up throwing my Midnight Scorcher to score in practice but the Frankie May had some POP in the carrydown.

PS...I do also like my Immortal Pearl (on not so flooded lanes, so I feel that the strength of that core in a solid cover would be massive as well).
