Looking for a nice smooth rolling arcing action.
Which Ogre would work best for this without too much snap at the back end?

The Orange/Black Solid by nature is the smoothest one of the bunch. The SS is the most angular, followed by the Purple/Black Pearl, then the Solid, then the Particle. You may be able to find some videos on youtube to see for yourself. But, the Solid is the smoothest in the Ogre line.

If anyone out there is worried about the scores being too high, try duckpin!!

From what I have thrown and see so far, I agree with Steve.
Odd how the solid is smoother than the particle. It makes me wonder what resin base they used for the particle.

As I have all 4....I go along with what Steve says! Also depends on your surface prep and layout.
From most angular to smoothest plus least amount of oil handled or needed to most.
SS
Pearl
Solid
Particle

I've had both the Pumpkin and the Blurple and the Pumpkin was a little smoother. That being said, the Blurple is one of the smoothest pearls I've ever owned. Not a ton of backend snap on mine and it handles a good amount of oil as well. As stated, drilling and surface prep will affect how smooth you want either ball, but if I had to recommend just one, I'd go with the Blurple. If you can afford 2, then go with both. Add in the Ogre Particle and the SS and you got a fine arsenal that will compete with anything out there! Just my opinion...

Thanks guys!
I've used some older Urethane balls that have a great roll, but when I can get back bowling again I am looking to start fresh with some new equipment and have always heard good things about Visionary.
Anybody take the surface down and polish the Ogre Solid? Anyone sand it?
Thanks again!

buddiesproshop has a video of the ogre solid and they polished it as it was too strong for the pattern.
I like my visionary equipment, dont think you can go wrong.

Now all they need is a spare ball! I'll have to give Visionary a try!

They did make a couple. The Infra-Red Amulet and the Clear Gargoyle are two that come to mind. There is even someone on eBay selling them here. (http://"http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/2nd_gen_closeouts") Most of them will be BLEMS.
Usually the Amulets will end up selling for a lower price. Most of Visionary's blems are cosmetic, as many here can attest to.
