Frankie May layout help ?

Hey guys what layout would you recommend on the Frankie May for a bowler with high speed & rev rate (myself) 19-20 mph , 500+ rev rate , PAP 4 1/2 over 5/8 up .

Here is why i ask, I bought one from britton which is like new, He had it drilled with the pin over the ring and cg slightly kicked out. I plugged the fingers only and reslugged the thumb , Next i rotated the ball a bit and placed the pin right of my ring its now closer to 3 X 3 . I tried it last night and it got down the lane good revved up nice but didnt really make the turn. I think its drilled to strong and now is flaring out since every thing in my bag out hooked it.

what is the Coverstock at?? where are you trying to fit it in at?

I had the cover @ 2000 abralon, I was hoping to use it when my Glad solid wasn't doing the job.My Glad Pearl & Bronze Centaur are a bit snappy off of the dry, I would like use the frankie may on fresh conditions nad have a good strong arc instead of the snap.

Since the ball is an aggressive solid that flares a ton, this ball won't flip unless you use a 5 1/2 pin layout and go to 4000 with polish.  Even then, the ball is more rolly off the spot than flippy.  I had my ball at 4000, no polish and the pin around 5 1/2, cg kicked slightly.  It was way too strong for me at box finish, so I took it up and then the ball was exactly what I wanted.  I would do a 5 by 4 pin above the fingers and leave the cover where it is.  That should help get the ball to conserve more energy for downlane.  Then the ball will have more of a hard arc with alot of continuation through the pins.

I had one laid out in this fashion that was awesome at 4000.

Second many other impressions: strong solid ball, that flares and hooks a lot, ratgher arcing than flippy (unless polished). With your high rev rate, make sure to have a long pin distance ball, get the pin above the fingers and put it at least 5" from PAP, otherwise this thing will hook off the lane... From there, make cover adjustments. The coverstock tunes easily and responds well to changes. I had mine at 1.500, 2.000 and 4.000 grit for medium to medium-oily shots (pin under fingers, 4.5" from PAP, CG stacked), and at 1.500 I find it to be a very good oil ball for my style - I never tried mo0re surface, because I never needed it with the ball.
