Okay ladies and gents,

I am very interested in seeing as many of you using our equipment as possible, so I am putting out a challenge to you.  Make a video of yourself using our equipment, and I will pick out the best 2 videos and those people will get some free goodies.  The first place winner will get our next release, and the runner up will get a tote bag and shirt.

Post a link to your video under this thread so I know where to look.  There is no limit to the number of videos you can make, so the more you make, the better your chances.  Please keep in mind, that if you choose to use copyrighted music to use a disclaimer at the end of the video that states: "The contents of this video are the sole responsibility of YOUR NAME, and Visionary Bowling Products has neither endorsed or been involved in the production of this video".

I will choose the winners on Feb. 15th.

PS.  Sorry Britton, you aren't eligible!

This video showcases my Green/Blue Centuar during a practice session under a light to medium shot.  I threw a bunch of games and I did end up getter quite a few strikes with this thing .  I typically don't throw it because I like to preserve it for tournements, however when I do throw it I usually do very well with this ball.  My current average is in the mid 170s and with the Centaur I probably average around 200+.  My striking range just opens up big time with this green thing. No doubt a great ball when the conditions are right!

On Edit - accidently deleted my Centaur Video, here is an alternate version & I think its better in terms of editing and music addition than the first one!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am changing the date on when I will be picking the winner from this Friday 2/15 to next Monday 2/18 so that people have a chance to make the videos one last weekend.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted the videos so far, and hopefully we get a bunch more by next monday.

Are those pins paper mache'? They sound fake and react like nothing I have ever seen before.

I think what it is is extremely old pins which are in dire need of replacement...could also be the fact that the house the guy is bowling at is older than time.

Well sorry Jason, couldn't get mine up and going.  My friend that I was going to make the video with hasn't been in town, and the video editing software on my comp is really screwed up.  nevertheless, I will still post the video once I finally get it up and going, just won't be in time for the competition , o well, good luck everyone!

OK this is the only VBP I own, however it will not be the last.  This is some old video with a pin up drilling, I have since had it redrilled for pin down because I wanted an earlier reaction, but of course I could not get that video completed.  As you can see in the vids it hits very hard and with the new drilling I feel it is even stronger.  I had to play an inside line because the outside was dry and the IS would check up.  I think these balls are great and I have not seen any performance fade with it compared to my other equipment (manufacturer names left out).

Anyway here is the video of the Immortal Solid (no out takes I do not strike every time but the video deadline is approaching).

Thanks for watching.

OK, it is that time.

So, I rated these videos based on 5 categories, and gave each category different point values based on importance.  I never told anyone how I was going to rate them before now, because I wanted original videos, and didn't want to affect anyones creativity.

1) 5 pts.  Ball appearance - includes the angle of camera view to see reaction on the lane, showing image of the ball and it's layout, explaining what the ball was designed for or showing some sort of comparison so that people know what the ball does and/or what it is supposed to do.

2) 4 pts.  Professional look - simply how good does the video look.  Does it have appeal to the average bowler.

3) 4 pts.  Creativity - was the video creative.  Did it show multiple angles, did it have any special effects, use of music etc.

4) 3 pts.  Following directions - Did you use the proper disclaimer if music was used.  This was the only instructions I gave for the contest.

5) 2 pts.  Effort - How much effort does it look like the person put into the video.  Did they create more than one video (I did say to make multiple videos for a better chance of winning).

  So, here are the results.

Since Androo is part of our Australian staff and works closely with one of our international distributors, I couldn't really include him in the contest.  However, give me an email Androo, I can't wait to see how the new ball works in your hands.

In 2nd place, with 13 pts is.........revTrex   Purple/Black Ogre video

and the Winner, with 14.5 pts is.......Darkman   Green/Blue Centaur video

Congratulations to the winners.  Darkman and revTrex, please email me at vbpadvertising@aol.com.

Now that everyone knows the criteria, I will do this again for the next release, so start your videos now.  I look forward to seeing what you guys make.
