What's coming new from Visionary:
« on: March 31, 2016, 01:33:02 PM »
I have been getting several messages about what's new from Visionary.
I talked to Jason to see if its OK, he said to give this out:

Next release will be a urethane, within 30-45 days.
A new lineup in late summer.
Another ball squeezed in between those releases.

That's all you get for now. 8)

A urethane from Visionary is worth 5 of anyone else's super-premium resin in interest.

You are right CharlesT

Red Sorcerer was good
Slate Blue was good (I had 2)
Ogre was real good on the super dry stuff

Can't wait!

You are correct and it will be a TRUE urethane, like all the others Visionary!!

If anybody knows how to make a great urethane ball, it would be this bunch.

I know Faball is long dead now, but the legacy lives on with the Wonders family there in St. Louis.

To me, the Blue Hammer was probably the best urethane to ever hit the market, and the Pink Hammer was probably the most consitent ball I have EVER thrown.

I know a thing or 2 of the current urethane offerings as i have most, not all. First let me say that Storms urethane i dont think are true urethane. They probably have some sort of resin in but not much but you can tell the difference. Just punched up my Hammer Black urethane which is supposed to be a true urethane and let me tell you i believe it truly is. Reaction is completely different than the Pitch's. Wed nite i threw it for the first time in the 4th game. Took me 3 frames to get used to it and then i proceed to throw last 9 for a 247 in oob finish. If im not mistaken, is the Hammer Black Urethane a 2-piece? Hits like one. Trust me the Pitchs are awesome balls and i shoot wonders with them, but i think the Black Hammer is a better all-around urethane out now. I will get the new Visionary urethane as i have thrown the Ogre Urethane before and was great. Hopefully will be a true 2-piece urethane.

The Black Hammer in 16 and 15 are 2 piece, 14 has an outer core wrap.

I think you are right on the resin mixed in with the other releases...they just do not react anything like the old urethanes and the covers tweak too easy.

Totally agree I had a pitch black and I also got the new black hammer and threw several other companies. You are right the black hammer feels like urethane as the others have some reactives in them. The ones with reactive out hooked the black hammer by  4-5 boards.

I throw 16lb so it does feel like a 2-piece reaction and carry like i stated earlier. Thanks Wowzers. I am a fan of the Storm urethanes and maybe now a fan of the Hammer urethane too. Cant wait to see what Visionary comes out with. I wish i could find a 16lb NIB/single drilled Ogre Urethane somewhere.

Jammin- I do like the amount of seperation i get from all the urethanes, like 4-5 boards difference. Reactives are more and i hate having to do so much moving so thats why i like urethanes, easier moves and less of them. I rarely see enough oil for anything more but with tournament season coming, reason why i got a Burgandy Hammer and have my Unreal.

Have you contacted VBP directly? I throw 14#, and I know there are none of those to be found, but it might be worth a shot to give them a call to see if there any left in the factory.

Don't be afraid of VBP blems either. The majority are cosmetic and would pass as a first for most other companies and just say that it's phasing that caused the cosmetic issue, and in some cases, labels might be off, but who cares really.

Agreed, Visionary blems are better than most peoples firsts!

Just to expound a bit on this.

Urethane is next..

The late summer release SHOULD be a replacement for the Ogre line.

After that, I have no intel.   It really is nice that VBP communicates with its customers in such a open manner.   Quite refreshing really.

Matt C- Which core may they be using for the new Urethane, the Ogre HDC/Raven core or the Samurai classic core, or perhaps a new core? Only if you know....

That has not be disclosed yet. (At least to me)

IF I was guessing, for the Ogre replacement it will be a brand new core/cover combo

I wouldn't mind seeing the Warlock core in the urethane ball either.
