Title: What price point is the Classic?
Post by: Schwanstuker on October 27, 2012, 12:12:23 AM
If the Classic was made avaiable to the general public through distributors, what Price point would it be considered at? By mistake, I purchased a 15.00, 3-4 Pin & 2.55 Top Classic and I'm trying to figure out what Price my driller should ask for. I ordered a 14.30 which will be here Monday, I can't wait to throw it.

I traded it off for pro shop work, the pro shop has it on the display shelf for $199.00.

kinda high atleast for my area, like bob stated you can buy them for 128 shipped.

Guess it depends on what your driller is charging for punching them up.

Without going into too much detail, if you know what VBP prices the balls at for their prices to members, then you know that the ball is priced above the midline mark.  The Ogre series was designed as mid entry in terms of price.  That would probably sell for $140 or so in pro shops in my area.

And every area is very different.  $199 on the shelf includes drilling, no??  I would hope so as two different shops in my area, only maybe 5-6 miles apart, would charge $199 and probably $229 for that same ball.

NE ohio gets a little spoiled as ACE is right in our backyard, and most drillers go pick up their orders thus saving shipping costs.  Most top end stuff around here is 180 - 190 drilled.
