Did you bowl today in Toledo, OH (JTBA)? I know a couple of kids who bowled MJMA yesterday.

No I didn't hear about the JTBA in Toledo until it was too late. I bowled the MJMA and went home. Bowled like crap so I didn't make the cut.

I talked to Eric McBraken (I think). He told he was like -14 when the cut was
-12. So i guess that fueled him to go like +240 today (on a Sport shot). He was second after qualifying, which I couldn't believe. I'm not sure how he finished, I left before they were done. I cashed with brakets and the tournament for like $95, not too high but it will add up. You going to bowl Akron later this month?

The MJMA shot was alright, this was my first MJMA event I bowled in so I didn't know what to expect. I shot -79 which really upset me. I was capable of making the cut and 2 bad games out of 8 cost me, but i'll take it as a learning experience for next time. I'm not sure how match play went I left after I found what the cut was.

I'm pretty sure it was. A lot of people were saying it was. Then if wasn't a sport shot then what was it?

I've always heard reports from jtba's that they are house shots or modified house shots. Never went there, so can't comment. although 240+ isn't that high if its an 8 game set for a house shot, so i'm assuming it would be something like a modified pba pattern.

It wasn't a modified house shot. I am pretty sure it was sport because minus made it in. 16th place was -6. With the surface of the lanes, the length, and the way the oil broke down lead to a bit of a higher scoring pace. But I am seriously thinking it was a sport pattern because they have been using those all the time for the point events.

i bowl in michigan, and bowled the lodge mjma yesterday as well. but yea, anyways i miss cut at mjma by 3 yesterday cause i go 161 the last game after starting with the first 3 strikes. the remainder of my game included a gutter off a spare, a pocket 7-10, and a pocket 4-10 in the tenth. major league choke if you ask me. surprised i didnt get fined for the antics afterwards. and i think it was a modified house shot, the pattern was shorter, but somehow played better from in. i was playing about 17 to 8 with a punisher, and as long as i didnt grab it i was good, otherwise lots of big designs. that signals me that there was some hold inside to play with.

I know you Lughermo in case you don't remember me I believe you remenber when you subbed on the Ottman Memorial League (the bowling ball incident), I played straighter, 9-11 at the arrows with the ball going out to 3-4, a shot that i'm good at and I shot that I should score. Especially considering that it hardly changed. Poor execution and spare making lead to shooting -79. By the way Dave do you know who won?
